Balance of Mind and Emotion

Arcana definition

Cheerful birds sway in the branches, and the wind caresses the dreams of contemplative trees. Within this beauty, free in its expression, a hidden spring rests — not everyone will find it. Only one whose heart is pure and free from illusions can drink from this source of wisdom and quench their thirst. Finding it, I become filled with reverence for sacred places, for the fragrant blossoms of clover. I sit by the water and, in the delight of a seeker, come to know my essence, my truth — without concealment.

I see myself reflected in the water and gaze at my own image as if seeing it for the first time. And the Mirror whispers: I am not your enemy. I confess that once I was different. My goals were different, my inner fire warmed other dreams.

In the spring, I see my thoughts. Once they gave birth to storms of emotion or to the calm surface of acceptance. Now I clearly see my unique place in the world, after resting among the splendor of meadows and the domes of trees, where the music of the waterfall plays solemnly. Where the mind is pure like divine halls, and the impulses of heart and soul are pure as well. And a tear, falling from my eye, briefly disturbs the mirror-stillness, sending ripples outward.

Advice

Only in balance between thoughts and feelings is truth born. Every action has consequences, and only one who knows themselves and their truth can take responsibility for their life and choices — while respecting the choices of others.

Honor your past decisions as well — they reflected the level you were at then.

Element

Numerical value

11 Justice. Responsibility

Description:

1 + 1 equals 2.
There are two impulses toward action (intentions) moving from opposite directions and meeting in the middle, creating a certain conflict that requires balance. The key element in this interaction is information (the vibration of the number two — the core frequency of 11), which completes the picture from multiple angles.

The solution lies in considering both impulses. This means giving space to both perspectives — balancing between the mind and the feelings that live within the body. On the Justice card, we see a sword in one hand and scales in the other. Everything that happens to us is fair and reveals information about us through other people — information we may not be fully aware of.

In other words, if we suppress what we don’t want to see, there will always be a “teacher” who will illuminate it for us.
A victim will find an aggressor, a quarrel between lovers will show both where boundaries are violated or where self-worth is lacking. A childish position of a man will evoke “maternal energies” in a woman.

Conclusion:

Only by accepting both sides of an interaction can we take responsibility for our part in what happens — and return the other person’s responsibility to them.
